Eligibility Criteria for IBPS Specialist Officers Recruitment 2018

  • Candidates, intending to apply for CRP SPL-VIII should ensure that they fulfil the minimum eligibility criteria specified by IBPS in this advertisement
  • Please note that the eligibility criteria specified herein are the basic criteria for applying for the post. Candidates must necessarily produce the relevant documents pertaining to category, nationality, age, educational qualifications etc. in original along with a photocopy thereof in support of their identity and eligibility as indicated in the online application form.
  • No request for considering the candidature under any category other than in which applied will be entertained

 

Nationality/Citizenship

  • Candidate must be either Citizen of India or a subject of Nepal or a subject of Bhutan or a Tibetan Refugee who came over to India before 01st January 1962 with the intention of permanently settling in India or a person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania (formerly Tanganyika and Zanzibar), Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia and Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India, provided that a candidate belonging to categories (ii), (iii), (iv) & (v) above shall be a person in whose favour a certificate of eligibility has been issued by the Govt. of India

 

Age Limit (as on 01st November 2018)

  • Candidates age should be minimum 20 years and maximum 30 years as on 01st November 2018; candidate must have been born not earlier than 02nd November 1998 and not later than 01st November 1998 (both dates inclusive)

 

Age Relaxation Details

  • SC/ST – 5 years
  • Other Backward Classes (OBC) – 3 years
  • PWD (Gen) – 10 years
  • Ex-Servicemen, Commissioned Officers including Emergency Commissioned Officers (ECOs)/ Short Service Commissioned Officers (SSCOs) who have rendered at least 5 years military service and have been released on completion of assignment – 5 years
  • Persons ordinarily domiciled in the Kashmir Division of the State of Jammu & Kashmir during the period 01st Jan 1980 to 31st Dec 1989 – 05 years
  • Persons affected by 1984 riots – 5 years

 

Note:

  • i) The maximum age limit specified in (II) above is applicable to General Category candidates
  • ii) The relaxation in upper age limit to SC/ST/OBC candidates is allowed on cumulative basis with only one of the remaining categories for which age relaxation is permitted as mentioned above in Point No IV (3) to IV (6)
  • Age relaxation will be applicable as per norms.

  • Applications (OR) Graduate having passed DOEACC ‘B’ level
  • For Agricultural Field Officer (Scale I): Candidates have 4-year Degree (Graduation) in Agriculture / Horticulture/Animal Husbandry/ Veterinary Science/ Dairy Science/ Agri. Engineering/ Fishery Science/ Pisciculture/ Agri. Marketing & Cooperation/ Co-operation & Banking/ Agro-Forestry

  • For Marketing Officer (Scale I): Candidates have Graduate and Full time MMS (Marketing)/MBA (Marketing) / Full time 2 years PGDBA/PGDBM with specialization in Marketing*
  • *In case of dual specialisations, one of the fields of specialisation should be in the field prescribed; in case of major/ minor specialisations, major specialisation should be in the stream prescribed
  • Candidates having PG Degree (MMS or MBA)/PG Diploma with more than two specialisations are not eligible to apply

 

Selection Process

Candidates will be selected based on Written Examination, Interview

  • Scores: The corrected scores obtained by each of the candidates in different sessions (if held) will be normalized using equi-percentile method. Scores up to two decimal points shall be taken for the purpose of calculations.

 

Cut off Score

  • Each candidate will be required to obtain a minimum score in each test and also a minimum total score to be considered to be shortlisted for interview. Depending on the number of vacancies available, cut-offs will be decided and candidates will be shortlisted for interview
  • Prior to the completion of the interview process, scores obtained in the online examination will not be shared with the candidates shortlisted for interview

 

Exam Centres for IBPS Specialist Officers Recruitment 2018

  • The Examination will be conducted online in venues across many centres in India. The tentative list of Examination centres for the Preliminary exams and those for Main exams is available in Annexure II
  • No request for change of centre for Examination shall be entertained
  • IBPS, however, reserves the right to cancel any of the Examination Centres and/ or add some other Centres, at its discretion, depending upon the response, administrative feasibility, etc

CRP – Online Examinations

  • The structures of the Examinations which will be conducted online are as follows:

a. Preliminary Examination

  • For the post of Law Officer and Rajbhasha Adhikari
  • 1. English Language – 50 No. of Questions; and 25 Maximum Marks (Medium: English)
  • 2. Reasoning – 50 No. of Questions; and 25 Maximum Marks 2 (Medium: English/Hindi)
  • 3. General Awareness with Special Reference to Banking Industry- 50 No. of Questions; and 25 Maximum Marks 2 (Medium: English/Hindi)
  • Total – 150 No. of Questions; and 125 Maximum Marks 2
  • Duration of the Test: 2 hours

 

For the Post of IT Officer, Agriculture Field Officer, HR/Personnel Officer and Marketing Officer

  • 1. English Language – 50 No. of Questions; and 25 Maximum Marks (Medium: English)
  • 2. Reasoning – 50 No. of Questions; and 25 Maximum Marks 2 (Medium: English/Hindi)
  • 3. Quantitative Aptitude with Special Reference to Banking Industry – 50 No. of Questions; and 25 Maximum Marks 2(Medium: English/Hindi)
  • Total – 150 No. of Questions; and 125 Maximum Marks 2
  • Duration of the Test: 2 hours

 

b. Main Examination

  • For the Post of Law Officer, IT Officer, Agriculture Field Officer, HR/Personnel Officer and Marketing Officer
  • 1. Profession Knowledge – 60 No. of Questions; and 60 Maximum Marks 2 (Medium: English/Hindi) and Duration: 45 Minutes
  • For the Post of Rajbhasha Adhikari
  • 1. Profession Knowledge (Objective) – 45 No. of Questions; 60 Maximum Marks (Medium: English & Hindi); Duration of Test: 30 minutes
  • 2. Profession Knowledge (Descriptive) – 02 No. of Questions; 60 Maximum Marks (Medium: English & Hindi); Duration of Test: 30 minutes
  • Other detailed information regarding the examination will be given in an Information Handout, which will be made available for the candidates to download along with the call letters from the authorised IBPS website www.ibps.in

Application Fee

  • Application Fees/Intimation Charges [Payable from 06th November 2018 to 26th November 2018 (only Online payment, both dates inclusive) shall be as follows
  • – Rs.100/- for SC/ST/PWD candidates.
  • – Rs.600 /- for all others
  • Bank Transaction charges for Online Payment of application fees/ intimation charges will have to be borne by the candidate

 

IBPS Specialist Officers Recruitment 2018 Application Procedure

  • Candidates are first required to go to the IBPS’s Website www.ibps.in and click on the Home Page to open the link “CRP Specialist Officers” and then click on the option “CLICK HERE TO APPLY ONLINE FOR CRP- Specialist Officers (CRP-SPL-VIII)” to open the Online Application Form
  • Candidates will have to click on “CLICK HERE FOR NEW REGISTRATION” to register their application by entering their basic information in the online application form. After that a provisional registration number and password will be generated by the system and displayed on the screen. Candidate should note down the Provisional registration number and password. An Email & SMS indicating the Provisional Registration number and Password will also be sent. They can reopen the saved data using Provisional registration number and password and edit the particulars, if needed
  • Candidates are required to upload their:
  • – Photograph
  • – Signature
  • – Left Thumb Impression
  • – A hand written declaration
  • As per the specifications given in the Guidelines for Scanning and Upload of documents (Annexure III).
  • Candidates are advised to carefully fill in the online application themselves as no change in any of the data filled in the online application will be possible/ entertained. Prior to submission of the online application candidates are advised to use the “SAVE AND NEXT” facility to verify the details in the online application form and modify the same if required. No change is permitted after clicking on FINAL SUBMIT Button
  • Visually Impaired candidates are responsible for carefully verifying/ getting the details filled in, in the online application form properly verified and ensuring that the same are correct prior to submission as no change is possible after submission
